Our Own Heaven Unfolding

we wonder as we wander as we stumble as we ponder as we're haunted as we're jaunting through individuality's mind...

Slapped about in eternity’s realms
screaming ‘existence’ to a dead crowd
a good dark piece, a flame away
from reason, living with hope…

The flowered paper ripped from the walls
set free from fleeing serenity
reflected thoughts scribbled in a biscuit tin…

We walk on roads of love
dreams collect in imagery and sighs
changing the cellophane we’re wrapped in
burning the haze of insanity…

Pretending to others, yet still ourselves
hell comes screaming back at us
wearing bells in its hair to ward off our silence…

Spirits of ache and pain
run about the lunatic moon
howling tides rush in, then melt away
where chicken tastes like chicken dipped in earwax…

Here is a mighty magic hanky that blows your nose
in seven different colors, then cleans itself…

Ah, the love we never abandon-
whips us from the depths
so very much alive
spins us around, lets us fall
to joy or sorrow, we do not know…

We all have a tale to tell
the gift of mind
from grunts and groans to simple words
to all the money that we've spent…

Stuttering in the mad hallways
trapped in reality
gone the dreams with hallucinatory twists
life in an artful photograph of skin and fog…

Rippling land of wind and rain
where silence strikes silence
in a loud commotion
then, changing direction on a breeze,
alive and dancing
within our moods…

Our own special moments
killing the pain
floating in light with a message of hope
a wonderful thing to behold-
our own heaven unfolding…

So we lay, exposed, waiting for better times,
twisted and shaped in sorrow and spirit
playing life’s games…

me, underneath a car, you, in a bowl of cornflakes…

yes, thanks Ms. L, we wonder as we wander as we stumble as we ponder as we're haunted as we're jaunting through individuality's mind... (hey, I just might insert that at the top...!)

thanks, and yes, why let all that poetic waxation of indi go to waste?!

  • hehehe i was laughing here, there's so much madness but it flows like a flowy thing that flows rather well, a river will suffice, as long as it is not ice. nicely done.

now there's a classic comment- "it flows like a flowy thing that flows rather well..." (and flow IS important- how is one to suck the reader through to the end?!)
