Her situation is grave,
hopeless and unjust.
Alone, yet again,
She finds herself in tears.
As each tear falls,
It releases a memory.
Memories of happiness,
which cause her heart to cringe.
Memories of sadness,
which simply remind her of how her life is,
and will always be.
Memories of love,
Which break her heart yet again.
And memories of hope,
which she longs for,
wishes upon stars for,
and tosses coins into fountains,
aching for it's return.
Photo's come up from time to time,
places she's been,
people she's seen,
memories,
that she wishes she could forget..
And as her tears fall to the ground,
it's these memories that they take with them.

Beautifull expressed for the prompt. best of luck. -
I think this is a rare case when using the word "I" would be more powerful than "she"... especially from a guy's perspective (for we are forever trying to figure you girls out!) ...so go ahead, indulge yourself, make it about yourself- just because it's been so abused already (especially on this site!) doesn't mean it doesn't work anymore...

Love these lines. Wonderful take on the picture. Thanks so much for entering and good luck.
