How often I've written you,
these past few days - we've
spoken briefly, with nothing
having really been said....
I ask you what you get hung
up about when you call and
stall to think of something when
the answering machine comes on;
You say nothing, but I know
there's more: it's in your voice,
your cards - the words "I love you"
stand out by yards, yet,
You just don't get it, do you?
I've tried to be as gentle as
possible, but now's not the
time to tiptoe on eggshells.
You want a girlfriend, I want
a serious relationship; yet you
don't know who you are, what
you want, or what is going on!
Hints drop and fall, they rain
down sometimes and you just
stand there with your umbrella,
completely and totally oblivious...
Your "liquid sunshine" is more
than you know - God's answering
your prayers, giving you signs -
what's it going to take, Jamie?
There's nothing wrong with you
as far as men go or being Catholic,
but you're going nowhere and
quite content with that...I'm not.
If you love me as more than a friend,
prove it like I asked you to - like you
really mean it and would die for it.
If not, then we're just, JUST friends.

If I have to even ask you to prove it, it hardly seems worth it.
