i watch the sun rise
i see it fly high
and as i look
at the scenery
i'm already thinking
of night
when its my time to play
my place to shine
on my broom stick
up high in the sky
with my magic spells
and curses from unwatered wells
i can make anything happen
my black cat midnight's meow
echoes my thoughts
she can not wait to
creep to steal and to spy
for this land is ours
with dark clothing
in the cloak of night
we can change the world
but now it is sunrise
and the stormy water calms
the beautiful view sickens me
for it is useless for my power
it refuses to meet my wishes
the sunrise may one day spell my death
and my dust will scatter at its feet
but for now i'll hide
in my house and sleep
dreaming of the dark
though its sunrise outside
Author notes
the sunrise is beautiful for it spells another days arrival but it sadly bids farewell to the lovely night

Beautiful write. I see you went with the more traditional outlook on witches. That is fine, though. Nice job. Thanks for entering.

This was a great take on the two prompts I gave you. I loved how you did not come right out and call yourself a witch. But the broomstick did give you away.
Thank you for entering my contest. Best of luck to you with this.
