There's a frustration that sinks in
When your all alone
Its like a kick to the gut
When you're already down
When that vodka bottle looks half empty
And you're in the corner with no way out
Day after day the darkness
Gets DARKER
When breathing becomes a chore
And putting the bottle down becomes that much harder
When love becomes sour
And you realize hate; drinks that much smoother
When opening your eyes becomes pointless
Who wants to see themselves crumble
When your emotions go numb; and you don't care
Who wants to feel pain and sorrow
I do

A very honest, powerful write.
Thank you for entering my contest. -
Powerful write. I liked the flow of this and I think you expressed the feeling of depression well. That feeling of everything around a person seeming pointless in life and feelings of emptiness. Thanks for sharing and keep that pen flowing.
