Turn A Head!

Please come and see, you know you want to look;
you pass this window every single day,
I’ll sit and wait but all I want to say
I’ll give more fun than any dusty book.

The softest patent leather you can buy
in colours that can turn a poor man’s head,
for you, I think the colour should be red
with peeping toes and heels three inches high.

That’s right, just slip your feet down deep inside
now take a walk, let’s both see how we feel,
the widest smile to match the highest heel,
you’ll walk the walk as down the street you’ll glide.

I’ll make you feel just like a millionaire,
you know in me all men will stop and stare!

I love peep toes and oxford pumps. I actually own the image at the top of the contest, and a pair like them but black with white pin stripes. I am a shoe obsessive

    • Thank you so much for the gold in your contest, it was fun to write for.

    Ah

The women and there shoes. Like a new blooming flower . The fit perfect and gentle. The walk divine.

    • Many thanks Bob, I had a feeling you'd like a shapely leg in a beautiful pair of shoes.

  • I was a ballroom dancer years ago. Before my ankles went south and I stayed north you could never find me in a pair of flats. I didn't feel like a desirable creature without them. With them I became a goddess. I love your sonnet! I love in particular lines 5 and 6. Good luck in the contest!

    • Thank you for your lovely comment. I agree, putting on a pair of heels does make you feel glamorous and gives you shapely legs
Great pity you can't dance anymore... especially ballroom.
