The Appology

And when it’s all over
Thee end of us
Just know I tried
Cried every night that
You weren’t ride or die
Strictly down for me
But no… you never were and this goes out to my family
This goes out to every man
The ones who hurt me with their sharp words
And steel fists
Sorry If I offend…
I really loved you and I…
I tried my hardest to please you
This is to my daddy and
The one who is mad at me
…Don’t be confused…
I am talking to you. I am
Crying out this apology on paper
Hopping the right people will
Read this like a dietician
Reads a food container
Wishing I could make it
Disappear. Go away.
And what of me?
I will fade away like a chap hoodie
Into the hearts of the enemy
I want to drive my lyrical sword into their souls
Destroying any faint memory of what was me
Then I will be as forgotten as… oh what’s that song?
That way…
No one will tell me I’m crazy
No one will remember all that I have done wrong
And with hearts beating like ping-pong
You all will watch me fall, fade, die
Cry out into the night that even the strongest
Trip, stumble, topple over what’s right
Because no one has a perfect life- it’s all a big lie

me and my friend Nakia wrote this and we plan on reading it at spoken word night.... yeah, tell me if it is worth reading
