We started like a breeze without ending,
the glowing bond of friendship was our sun--
in autumn, we were bright leaves descending
a tide in flowing ocean came undone.
With tremendous altitude we did climb,
like brittle bones awakened in the moon;
light was just a game we thought we could time,
so we used it up with none left to swoon.
And we could sigh away each breath we take,
without a care to where it ever ends;
each regret we cling to is one we make--
but at our Death, the angels did ascend.
And perhaps our ghosts secretly converse,
and our smiles bore a blessing-- not a curse...
