Cryptic

I've been away…
a bit - out of sorts?
... no… more like preoccupied,
borderline overwhelmed,
currently relaxing in the calm ebb
in between typhonic swirls...
a sigh,
a breath,
a quick look to identify the best direction,
I dig in one of my best starter track spikes
and another burst of speed...
Life races don't end...
we just pass batons.

I totally understand the preoccupation, the feeling of being "overwhelmed", and the need for relaxation... Sometimes we must simply be still and listen for direction and with the tone of voice move left or right. But to no avail, work has to be done and we become grateful for that added "burst of speed". I could identify wholeheartedly with this one John. "Cryptic" is the best title ever! Thanks!
