Now she's back
From searching in the stars
For herself.
Has she found new meaning?
Has she begun again?
She has returned,
More beautiful than ever.
I could never think anything
Less than everything of her,
But what will she think of me?
Will she remember those times
We laughed, and held each other
And shared adventures and jokes
That only the two of us would know?
And if she does remember, will she care?
If she has found herself
During her celestial quest,
Seeing reflections of her soul
In the beauty of the cosmos,
Has it changed her into something
Too profound, too unattainable,
Too high up for me to grasp?
I hope she's happy
I hope she's at peace
I hope she remembers me.

wow this is so honest and open and emotional for over a month now I've been trying to pen something as beautiful as this, something just as you described and here it is, the poem I've been searching for. terrific job. I can't even find the right words to express how much i love this piece. I think I'll bookmark it
