Poetic Aggravation in G-Minor

Missing image
~~~~~~
My brain is not working,
The poetry won't come.
I look at the screen,
And feel kind of dumb.
These words that won't form,
The lines that won't take shape,
They almost seem to be floating,
In vast outer space.
Just out of my reach,
Dangling like a tease.
Oh, come to me, my muse.
.
.
.
What if I said pretty please?
~~~~~~

Author notes

The G-Minor really has no bearing on the meaning...I just thought it sounded kinda cool

    It made me chuckle!

    First off, I lvoed the image of the duck ready to slam the computer with a mallet, because that is cute an clever, and it definately nails how we feel about writers block. Your poem also related back to the image, which mad eit even more enjoyable to read. I love humour, and this poem delivered me my humour! my favorite line-
    What if I said pretty please?
    Because, even when we do, it still aggrivates us! Nice job.

    I like the title, & the topic of the poem, coz it's such a current state of mind for poets it seems to be looking for the muse.
    I like the way you make it funny as well, & the pic add to that, he he he, nice humor.

    I feel like doing that to my computer at least once a day and most days more often than that. Sometimes the words just won't come, and sometimes the computer just won't boot up so that we can put our words on the site. I have way more in long hand than I do on the site. This is a great write--really I loved it.

    The G-Minor does sound cool, and the poem is even cooler. Doesn't sound like you're having a problem writing to me. This poem spoke volumes on how hard it is to write sometimes. This is great and the picture is quite appropriate. Just GREAT!

    I can relate to this poem. Sometimes I can write endlessly, but other times I can't. The poem is really great!

    A poem which every poet can relate to. The blank lines are perfect. sometimes just writting is all you need even if the writting is about not being able to write. It just shows you that you really can write about anything. Good luck
