Manitoba

The tree stands alone
In the prairie field
Its branches resist against the wind
Trying to keep the leaves from the freedom offered by it
The tree pulls and pushes against the wind
Which wraps around the tree violently
Making it tumble and panic
The leaves that are reserved by the tree
live and grow for the summer season
While the leaves liberated by the wind
Are then abandoned
and left to float to the ground
Where they will decompose and die
