Drowning in the memories.
Lost in the crowd.
Screaming into the silence,
These secrets are too loud.
Just a jumble of faces.
Just a sea of tears.
So many people speaking
But who really listens and hears?
It's obvious we aren't perfect,
It's quite clear things can go wrong.
A part of us wants to give up,
But here we are appearing strong.
For someone with so many
Built up layers and walls,
It's amazing I could reach your raw core
Just from walking down this maze of halls.
So as a message to all who's listening,
Take a minute or two and
Decode those people's whispering.
They're the ones too afraid
To reach for help,
But are trying their best not to fade.
For some
Love can mend a broken soul.
Share a little and maybe
You'll be the one to patch that empty hole.
Friendship can be the difference
Between life and death.
Give that gift and maybe
You'll make someone re-think that planned "last breath".
If you have a thing for music,
Don't keep it locked up inside.
Branch out to others,
Feed someone's heart and mind.
Please don't be ignorant,
Don't ignore others suffering and pain.
Help them see the hope and the light;
Teach them to dance in the rain.
