Garland

rain falls staccato

on tin roof, disconnecting

yesterday

soft sounds soothe

feeling of faltering soul;

mind gathers thoughts

from autumn wreath-

new, primed, poised

and fresh

into garland

of hope, faith and love

In a list

  • "rain falls staccato

    yesterday "

This is such a strong opening and the visual here is so amazing. From there on he grabbed hold and gently led. A beautiful garland - a well rounded poem.

So pleased to have read this today. Thank you. ~Pamela

      Thank you

Pamela. It's always a treasure to hear from you. Blessings. Frans

  • How beautifully you draw us to that wreath we all have a connection w ith, yet an individual one. It is Every Wreath!
Garlands for celebration , and such is what I believe. Although, I am selfish enough to want not to let go of some, I do know it is a happy birthday elsewhere. Grief does teach us a great deal about our inner belief systems.
I have always said, "If we truly had faith, we would celebrate. Death has its way of testing that faith we proclaim.
Hope is such a wispy word. It ebbs and flows according to the depth of those tests we go through. And, lvoe.. ah, love... sometimes, I believe we know love best when it has been truly known...when it has been deeply physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual...and we have lost to to something beyond our ken.
    Bravo!
