This heart,
I set my blockades up for
To refrain,
to prevent the pain.
I fell for your once, and will never again.
Because I finally realised that
It was just a game.
I’m patching up the holes,
Stitching up the scars,
but the memories
Crawl their way inside,
reminding me how desolate
this heart is.
Your face is imprinted on my brain;
a photograph of a ghost;
Whispering into my ears,
Drying up the tears,
Such a heavy weight of fear.
A rope strangles my throat;
The calling of home.
We’ve made an inconsolable
decision:
Death.
What did you think

Love this writinG! FLow very well and the emotions are very poignant! I dig your writing style...great metaphors and used of words! This writing evokes a lot of emotions in me...mainly of pain and anger.
Good job!
