Hungering eyes begging for a saviour
From the confinement of misery
Yet the world becomes no wiser
Ignorance ordered out by the fistful
Hands shoved into pockets
Rushed away in the breeze
The sunken ship, another sailor
Hopes slashed to shreds
The motionless body falling to its knees
Ripping their eyes from the sockets
And the hair from their heads
The constant thumping of a screaming soul
Fearing the steps ahead
Of falling in a misplaced hole
An early grave
A life loss toll.

Welcome to AllPoetry!
This is a very powerful poem; I love the last two lines.
Poetically, I would recommend adding some punctuation
