Is it yours?

Taking her to four corners of my memories

dusting off every picture that had emerged.

Thoughts of childhood days and school loves

Words spun like carousels to days gone bye.

Pictures painted Colorfully in black and white

things surfaced I tried to forget, but couldn't

yet they still came up without loud screams.

Tears fell trying to forget my recent pain

showing images of those most ~Darkest days.

Then smiles would overwhelm me with peace

as I pushed another pleasant thought to light.

I knew it was only temporary till coming back

to cloud the visions of yesterdays promises.

Then I kneeled to pick up an old baby blanket

and begain to reminisce all its precious past

with every stroke pictures become more clear

Pink cheeks brought out suttle eyes of brown

for a child no longer aloud in these days to live.

Faded photographs lined every word I spoke

then toppled to the floor like fresh raindrops

never allowing this memory to miss a thing!

very nice piece keep the coming. it is nice to read you.

  • "Pictures painted Colorfully in black and white" I have photos such as this. Even though they were colorless, our memories allow them to be overflowing with hues of our past. It is easy to see that you took a much needed walk down memory lane. Sometimes that can be a cleansing adventure, I felt each emotion written here dear brother/friend. Oft' times purging is a result of this set of circumstances.

I WISH YOU THE BEST IN LIFE AND THIS CHALLENGE!

    Much Love Always ♥

    The Strongest Man...

...is one who is not afraid to expose what he feels.

That's the impression I get here. There's something magnificent here that tells me something new about you. It's like I never knew you at all, in the most positive of senses.

I get a picture here of man who is so strong, unabashed to display what he feels in such a dignified manner. I'm left mesmerized, overwhelmed at the strength of this. Here is a man who feels without letting it control him. Providence most definitely shines here with His grace on its author.

And then I read the second line, followed by them all.

  • The imagery in this poem is really good, and this is clearly a strong poem

But, are you still working on it? Then I shall return to comment further when you've finished with it. .(Do drop me a note when you're done so I can return to give you a more indepth comment

Thank you so much for your entry and all the best to you!
