A Poet's Heart

Inspired by Jewel's song "Hands"
****

A poet's heart is seldom broken
Though it may seem to some
In their words is a cozy comfort
A feeling of warmth
A feeling of solace
In emotion-filled lines
Exposing the soul
And clearing the mind

A poet's mind is never lacking
Cause inspiration is always there
Just waiting for the words to be found
In order to express their feelings
And thoughts to share

A poet's hand goes through the motions
On paper, a calligraphy all it's own
Putting those thoughts into words
Is not an easy task
But a poet's hand does it wonderfully
In ink to make a mark
To make a difference
To understand those thoughts

Expressions of the heart and mind
Made real through a poet's fingers
For all the world to see
And sometimes for that poet to wonder
Did these words really come from me?

    Hi!
Daniela, you have writen this so well, and you have also expressed it well, so that the reader is on the same page as the writer. I look forward to reading more of you when time permits.
In the mean time, keep your quill inked well, and all the best with your writing.
    Many beautiful blessings to you.
    Your friend in poetry,
    ~Anne~
