The Life & Death of Insects

Broken winged monarch
Unable to fly
Just sitting on a green leaf
Waiting to die

An ant scurrying around
Trying to find food
A large foot comes by
Intruder says goodbye
Lying on the pavement
Waiting to die

A bee finding nectar
Then flying away
It finds human blood sweeter
Over nectar any day
So it stings
Leaving its stinger behind
Swooping down to the ground
Waiting to die

Fly caught in a screen
It cannot get out
It gets furious
Buzzzz!
It shouts
"Let me out...
How did I get here?"
But no one hears
As death slowly nears
Clinging onto the window
Waiting to die

I'm very glad that you didn't reconsider putting these up because of them being oldies. Because you are really gifted and the pieces I have read tonight are all so entrancing. I really do adore your skills. <3
