Irresponsible


If there was a miracle,

Right now I’d be with you,

If love was so wonderful,

Then you’d love me too.

If life was so beautiful-

Then I’d start mine anew-

But since I’m so irresponsible-

There is nothing I can do.



If I leave the pathway closed,

Your sharp, jiggered teeth would scar my arms;

If we were ever left alone-

You’d shy back nastily in alarm.



If my eyes would not even flutter twice-

You’d suddenly be not Okay;

If I ever gave you a set of harsh advice-

Certainly then it would not make your day.



If there was a miracle,

Then I wouldn’t live in fear,

If love was so wonderful

Then I wouldn’t be in tears.

If life was so beautiful-

Then I’d start mine anew;

But since I’m so irresponsible-

    wow this poem was great but sad i hope this is not a true story if it is i am sorry i can say i have no least favorites parts in this poem because it was all great i could not revise this poem because it would not be your work then and it would not be as great as yours thanks for sharing and good luck in the other contests
