Days of dark, nights of light,
living here is a fright.
How I wish that I might
again, make it so right.
People talk, people say,
wish they'd all go away.
Still seething, some just stay
maybe for one more day.
Is this new world more real
does it have much appeal?
Magic's not very real
not sure if it will heal.
All say it's just my mind
something's wrong, they'll find.
Peel my brain like a rind
can't they all be so kind?
White sterile room and hall
not at all like the mall.
One day I'll get a call
if before I don't fall.
Have you heard what's been said
about me as I'm fed?
My blood is just as red
and real soon I'll be dead.
Author notes
A world inside one's head could be like living in a magical place.

This is creepy
Very interesting read. Traces of humor in an otherwise bleak "Another World." Very interesting read, well written.

This poem obviously has some foundation that is just beyond sight, one can speculate if medical issues are prompting this write or just failing health. It does not matter, it is an interesting glimpse into thoughts you wanted to share. Write on my friend.

Bandit Contest Entry
This was really quite foreboding. Realistically, I can look at it in comparison to the original use of Faerie Tales. To scare children. But it wasn't really the magic that I was looking for.
Thank you for your bandit entry and good luck!

This sounds too much like a battle against brain cancer or similar catastrophes. Most people's denial only supports the enemy. Those who know how to share strength don't shy from the reality but make sure the light and love you are in their life is what your receive. May all adventures under a doctor's tools only provide for a fuller and better life.
Love,
Tom B.
