Ahhh yes, a very familiar sound...they seem to think I am on the menu, the blue plate special... enjoyed...PK

  • SMACK!!!

Got 'im!!! Uhm... you might have a hand print on that side of your face for a while... *spritzes bug spray all around*... pesky lil buggers.

  • Brought a smile to my face :-) Lovely imagery, use of the sense of sound and sight...quite an image here of something as magnanimous in size as the sun when contrasted with something as tiny as a moquito! I like how you brought Mother Nature so down to earth to your ear. Lovely haiku as always from the best haijin ever! Wonderful alliteration in L1. Well balanced and nicely laid out haiku with L2 being the longest line.

    Keep 'em coming...
    Warm regards from sunny Pune,
    Charishma

Thanks so much Char. I'm not sure I'm the best haijin ever but it's a compliment I'll cherish forever!!! Thank you. Hope things are well with you. Take care always... big hug to you in India!

    Great Don!

Hope you have a wonderful, renewing spring, likewise, I hope those little critters stay around to remind us that they are prey for the wonderful avians and flying mammals!  Pesky, yes, sometimes deadly as with most everything in nature, including us!

    I appreciate your work immensely!

Hm, it's time for them to come around, unfortunately enough!
That is when I slap my own face again and again in the night, never hit the mosquito though
