Walking with feet that cannot feel
The earth beneath me is my guide
When I will find I cannot heal
You will hold me, right at your side
Despite the rhythm, unpredictable
My footfalls trip me every time
When life seems so unfixable
You become my every rhyme
This window is becoming broken
Hard to see the faces beyond
Though words come that are unspoken
It is your touch with which I'm fond
I'm left with eyes too blind to see
So you guide me, this direction
I feel that you just stand behind me
I just see my fractured reflection
Author notes
We can't really tell when we are being guided through life, but it's comforting to think that something is pushing us in the right direction, even when we can't see it ourselves.
