Knight In Rusted Armor

The soldier boy is weak and weary,
His armor laid askew,
He goes to slay the dragon,
To save us all from doom.

But who really is the dragon,
But the boy in clad himself,
To pierce the heart of dragon,
Is to pierce himself.

He lays down to rest himself,
And close his weary eyes,
His body deep in slumber,
A long and restless night.

The castle tower is empty,
The princess rides away,
For she is dressed in armor,
The dragon she will slay.

She saves him from his sorrow,
And bleeds for him instead,
For as long as she is with him,
That sorrow will be dead.

For in the night she slays the beast,
And returns to the home,
She lays beside the knight...

And he is not alone.

Ah a nice poem esp while it is just so from the pen and seen the author notes a bit auto bio. well done

  • I LOVE this! I'm really fond of poems that turn typical fairy tale plots on themselves, and you did this wonderfully. Not to mention, I feel this way myself sometimes....job well done.

Wow. this is...really good. and a great story too. I love how the princess was the one to save the knight... As for lacking anything there's nothing i can see. I love this! xD i won't be able to say that enough

    For improvement:
    ...maybe some stronger vocab.
anddd the flow could be better in some places
(though i think it could be fixed quite easily)

    Great job!

    • Haha yeah the vocab is kind of weak because it was a bit of a spur of the moment poem. I just jotted down what came to mind
