Sitting there in a hot van,
waiting for you to arrive.
Anxious, and even a little nervous,
Ive never felt more alive.
And then, as if in a dream,
there you are smiling at me.
And suddenly you were in my arms,
and that's where I was meant to be.
I had waited so very long,
for you to just come home.
And, my dreams come true, you're here with me,
and I no longer have to be alone.
The time flew so rapidly by,
as time on it's merry way will do.
A sadder thing never happened to me,
than to have to live without you.
The warmth and love of your kiss,
the welcoming feel of your embrace.
But the day we had to part,
I melted at the tears upon your face.
Now, my heart feels empty,
without you being here.
And my home is quiet and lonely,
without you being near.
But my arms wont be empty for long,
till I can hold you again.
Home is always waiting here for you,
and our future together to begin.
I love you, Dawn.
