A delicate neck is within my grasp,
Its short hairs bristling sharply against my palm,
Its pulse a gentle, warm, lovely throb.
So easily, I could squeeze.
The creature’s neck would shatter like glass
Under my powerful, able hands.
I apply some pressure,
Feel the creature struggle,
And press harder.
I could do it.
I could kill the small, defenceless animal,
End its life.
I’d get away with it, I know.
And just like anyone would,
I crush its neck.
Author notes
This is meant to depict the abuse of power. I do not, in any way, agree with violence towards animals.
