Cowboys & Space Rangers

You’ve always been like my own Woody.  I get bored of you whenever a new Buzz Lightyear comes out, you end up under the bed until Buzz breaks.

    Or gets lost.

Then you’re good enough for me again, and you’re always there waiting..
Covered in dust bunnies and cobwebs, smelling like mothballs.

This time’s different.  I don’t need a new Buzz. [I don’t need you either].

I’m sick of cowboys and space rangers.

They’re not good enough anymore and honey, I’m not brushing the dust off the pull string that sets off your pre-recorded lies this time.

It’s time to grow up, and put the toys in the chest.  The chest in the shed and lock it up.

It’s time to get out of the nursery and step into the real world and take care of myself.

Critique, please.

  • lol I love Toy Story!!! I could so see you as little Andy throwing Woody to the ground, and I also like how you made both of them the bad guys! But tt was short, and I was wanting more! Great write though!

Yeah, I haven't written in so long, and I'm just not quite sure if I'm finished with this one yet. There's another one I wrote recently that I'm more impressed with, I'd like it if you read it. The title is something along the lines of not knowing what to do with the flying things in my tummy... pertaining to the butterflies that this new guy gives me

  • I love the message this sends and yeah, we all have to grow up and it's important to pull away from those that don't do any good for us. I seem to be the worst for choosing the people who hurt me the most. But I know that I am moving up in the world.
