Summer Dancer

You danced your smile when I talked to you and you
Danced your laughter around the room
You asked me questions and pretended to be scared,
Oh the finest dancer I ever knew

I hear that jazz guitar and feel you dancing close to me
With the sun on your face, or the shade of the tree
Ballerina I can see her so much clearer
When rain pours down, there's sunshine in my memory

I want to hear from you,
So much I want to say,
Promised I'd be seeing you,
Need to undo these chains

Author notes

This certainly isn't finished...but I've been writing it for three years, so maybe it never will be!

Tell me what you think please!
