"Once you understand something,
you no longer have to be bound by it"
shit, how did it come to this?
now all that remains is nihilism.
only the ripples of your heartbeat
on the surface of the water.
only the moon and stars
to ease the strain of gravity.
each falling wave is your conciousness.
where is this place, it's so quiet...
but this isn't peace, it's all dark
there's anxiety in every breath
and athmosphere weights a thousand suns
but there's no light, there is no one around,
so this is what it feels like to be alone?
each memory is a holographic escape.
there was a time once wasn't there?
when a smile was meant and generous.
when being in the same space and time
was alright and more than bearable.
when the air was full of life and sound
I knew I was significant part of.
each look is a failed communication.
so what about this empty space?
what of all the people in the world,
they can just all go and die.
I'll risk it all for more, I don't mind,
It's all but an illusion, a bad dream,
and I'm more than ready to wake up.
each dream is a could be reality.
shit, how did I come to this?
This is going to be the kind of spectacle
that leaves you bleeding on the floor,
feeling around for something familiar,
anything that we could maybe take with us
wherever we're going.

This is unusual... Definitely shows its a personal poem before you even mentioned it. The prose type structure, full of questions and justifying statements show how you're trying to resolve something in your mind. The single lines break it up nicely and back up the stanzas...
'each falling wave is your conciousness.'
thats probably my favourite line.
