Chess and Success

Left out without a piece of knowledge;
From the dark is a hope to be acknowledged.
From the acknowledgement deep within,
There’s no way to ascertain its measure from the trash bin.
Whether the red liquid is blood,
Whether the rain turns into a flood,
There’s a glimmer of light.
Though it’s barely in sight,
There’s a will to survive.
There’s still a will to strive.
The beats go through the street;
There’s a knowing that there will be no defeat.

Life goes on,
Sure, the old will be gone.
That’s just the way it goes;
It’s the fundamental concept everyone knows.
From the depths of Zephyrhills springs;
Wishes, hopes, and dreams resound through the rings.
From this glimmer of light dawns life,
A way to relieve all the given strife;
There’s no need to argue.
There’s no need to be blue.
Just fight the good fight;
Don’t go off and fly a kite.
Understand this clear concept,
Play your pieces right!
Never let any move be trite.
Understand your opponent in the game of chess;
Then you’ll achieve success.
Perform at every recital,
Never remain idle.
