Flight (not a poem)

I dont like to suggest topics for the photos I take -
I like to see where your mind travels too when you see them.

    Congratulations on your Silver ...

but I cannot see the photo ... Is it on the contest page? But: no matter, your perspective is always rich in wisdom and depth. Well done.

    Love
    Myra

Ps. I think if my veins are filled with poetry, I may never again get a stroke, hmmm?

Upside down into the maelstrom, I realize there is no upright, and am slightly distrubed by this revelation. I hope it fades.

  • And Iccarus said, "Let there be flight,"
long after God had said, "let there be light."
    No conflict but rather
    complimentary
as sky is carved into a
    three dimensional form
by the smoke of my brush
and the zeal of my dreams,
    leaving gravity and ground
for a much more expansive canvas
just us, sky, plane and me,
    we three and no more
    set temporary images on invisible canvas;
    we write on GOD's soul
    for the highly observant
    and spiritually accute.

    "Can you see me now?"

    • Thanks Lady
I have a ton of photos up online in a small gallery if any one ever feels like going through them and writing poems from them. Most of them have poetry in my soul that goes along with them...I just never have time to write them down anymore!

      I hope you are well!
Im trying to get Christian back on here to put up some more of his school poetry...but you know...that whole "I might miss a phone call from that really cute girl at school" thing keeps getting in the way

    Dear Jen,

    Thankyou, thankyou.
My Muse has that glint in her eye that indicates "I see possibilities here!" We'll wait and see.
Applause, love and hugs, XXX Hugh.

    Rebellious Icarus

Do not tell me "I can not do
Whatever it is that I want to"

    Just because you raised me
    Since I was a child of 3

    Doesn’t mean you know
    Everything above & below

I will show you I’m my own Master
I will fly higher and fly faster

"Why is the Sun so hot? ... ‘Dang!
It’s not as easy as I thought

I think, I’m out of fuel
Sorry Dad, for playing the fool.
