Pity I'm so fond of your lies.
They wrap me up in silken folds,
covering me from the truth.
Protecting me from you.
The facade which inspires hope
lets me pretend I'm loved.
Worthless crystal envelops my heart,
it's fragility gleaming in your eyes.
Then decadence descends,
the crystal's smashed to pieces.
Ignorance is banished.
Truth is your sharpened blade.
The bitter core remains,
encased in a diamond shell.
Barring you from the steel encasement.
Alluring in its perfection.
The layer of fragmented crystal forgotten.
My diamond soul is cold and unyielding
Blind to your icy touch
Deaf to the pearl heart trapped within.
Pity I cherished the lies,
Made even sweeter in their absence.
Ignorance was bliss
Until you shattered our Utopia.

You know my thoughts on this Claire-Anne.
You know, we have some wierd conversations sometimes, lol...but if this is the result of them, bring them on
Wonderfully done, even more so when I know the reasons behind such provocative and thought enticing words.
Bravo, Little Sister

Fascade?
Amazing vocabulary, and terrifying that this sort of reminds me of the guy I love... lol.
I adore the first and last stanzas, especially the first lines of each. Absolutely wonderful, one of your best thus far.
