Eyes dance to flickered flames
candlelight dream spoken soft
while silhouettes collide
and two become one.
Cinnamon licked kisses
spill from hungry lips
as words become verbs
in a tsunami of desire.
You feed me fingers
basting my senses
with the everglade
of your essence.
And I write your beautiful
memorized in those perfect lines
you have drawn against
the fabric of my being.
We twist our colors
a harvest of plenty
matching syllables
in the prose of us.

This was wonderful. Nice flow. The purple on black really adds to the feel of the piece too. The content is so sensual. Made my heart skip a beat. Very nice...

mzmikki.... thank you for your words, for your appreciation of my craft and for hosting just the right contest to break me from my own writer's sleep... perhaps such enthusiasm for the spill of words is what we all need to make them come to life within us again... I am certain you have stoked a fire or two with your own words, but, from this poet to you, thank you for the opportunity and honor that you have given and granted. I appreciate it. ~SoAp
