Waking up on this new day,
In a place so fresh in the middle of may
The breathtaking mountain air
Leaving you without one care
The sun that sparkles up above
As you stand beside the one you love.
The mountain shack behind in glory
Indicating this month with a brand new story.
Walks and paths luring you out,
New places to see, to wander about
A beach with the thrashing waves
And the endless mysterious caves.
Sadly, as the sun begins to dip
You feel your self beginning to slip
Then with sleepy eyes you awake
To realise it was all a mistake,
A dream was it all it transpired to be
Here stuck in the city now, only wishing to be free
Realization that it was only a thought
A thought of a summer dream

I loved it. Another astounding masterpiece you have put together here my dear, dear friend. You have an astounding talent for poetry as I knew you had all along. Keep that ink flowing and if you would ever want me to give you a challenge lemme know and I'll gladly do so, as you'd always do them great justice. God bless you always in all you do and write. Sometimes, it can be sad when the only peace you find is when you're away & dreaming. Remarkable poem you have put together here.

Actually I think the lack of rhymes makes this attractive in a quirky way. I enjoyed this, very much a summer dream.
