heretical manifesto

rodents run forward down a drain, fasting till dawn, I follow the lines in your legs, as they connect seamlessly with your smile...

stop wearing that dress whenever we go out, I want to throw it down a mountain for nomads to sell, as they divide it whilst casting lots...sitting below the Son of Man as he recalls sending his children two by two, and weeping for what Constantine will do to his poetry; overcharging African children for a bible, when it's cheaper just to get high...

acidic drums proceed down main street, part of a band known to charm the devil, still sore after being caught sleeping with Lilith, by Adam and God, hoping to keep it out of the tabloids...

I saw Gabriel squatting on a post outside a high school, peeking in the locker rooms while preaching abstinence and denial, the son of the devil strolled past making a joke about dichotomy and urges, he tries to sell me opium, I tell him I've already got the faithless blues...

it all disappears like sparks in the stars, the churchmen hang up their collars and the nuns their bad habits, while outside for the world to see; W.B. Yeats feels disappointed and drunk; slouching towards Israel to die...

    Incredible poetry ... .

Such is it with mans religions, such is it with mans faith. I cannot for myself even deny these truths you spoke. Though I would consider not belittling them even in their frailties ... because friend they too are my frailties in the ways that I miss use them ... abuse them.

    Great write ... .

It's kind of my own struggle with my faith, and my own church, although I love the basic message of Catholicism, although there are things I feel where they are hypocritical....anyway, thanks for reading, commenting, and applauding!

The overall mood of this poem is written all over it.
