Gemmie

I had a little Gemini,
nothing would it spare
But a silver hub cap
and a bonnet bare.
It needed a flash paint job,
her old paint peeling green
Her owner was an Aussie,
he did not keep it clean.
Revved her like the clappers,
exhaust was loud and clear
her indicators didn't work
she ran on faith and fear
i love my Holden Gemini
her character is so quaint
her owner was a fine old gent-
He made me feel quite faint!

Joanie I just found this and I immediately thought of Eric and I know your little Gemini - nice little pome and it was good to think of Room 85 again.

lol, being an aussie myself I know exactly the type of Gemmi your talking about. I've seen many of them in a state of despair as you described.

    "A critical review is invited"

Just reading through this poem it seems to be a bit more about the owner than the car itself?? I don't know though I see that you call it she in the poem once but that is the only personification that comes through for me.
