I thought I'd give it up -
newspaper reading, these days.
Two, three a day at the
university library...all so
depressing, the news.
I mean, you hardly see
anything in print anymore
about good deeds done
or progress of some sort
on some level...no, no -
It's all death, devestation,
and destruction! So I tried,
I tried to give it up...
I got it down to one paper
on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays...
Wednesdays - then I started
to have the odd withdrawal
symptom...can't help it, I'm
back on two a day now,
reading in the library.

You know, I actually am something of a news junky myself. BUT a year or so ago I started following ONLY local news and you know what? I am much happier.

I love it; I was actually thinking about this the other day. I stopped watching the news every day when it seemed to be the same old stories of death and destruction. But morbid curiosity always makes us turn back, hoping something's changed. Awesome write =]]
