Soft moonlight radiates down,
Beckoning him into the night.
"Come out to play, my nocturnal child.
Come and dance in my glow."
He exits his door,
Stepping out into Selene's playground
To feel an uplifting breeze
That flits playfully through his hair.
His lips are a subtle pink,
Soft and succulent.
They ought to be sweet
Like a delectable candy.
His hair is soft to the touch
And it seems to blend into the night,
Only visible by the moon's rays
Weaving in and out of midnight.
He spins on his heel
And laughs into the night.
She seems so ALIVE!
And she seems to be playing a song for him.
She sings of sweetness,
Of beauty and of grace.
She whispers sweet fantasies
While tempting The Dark Lord.
She tempts him with a fine breeze
Rustling through the trees,
Light and crisp
But with a sharp contrast of an owl's shriek.
"Become part of my song,"
The moon seems to call.
"Dance to to my music
Or bring your voice to the air.
Become mine forever."
But the man just walks on.
Although he loves her,
He refused to remain her slave.
Somehow he will escape her chains.
His shadow flickers through the lamp light,
Shuddering and dancing like a moth's frantic wings
As he walks through the city's dusty streets
Searching for a dance partner other than Selene.
Their shadows had collided
Becoming one creature in the darkness.
His lips turned into a smile
As his eyes gazed upon her beauty.
A common human may not have called her beautiful.
Her nose was a bit too long.
The hair was far too stringy,
But it was the subtle images that made her shine.
She had a natural rose blush to her cheeks
And her blue eyes seemed to have a cold sparkle.
They seemed to tell a story that she was lost and lonely.
They screamed to save her from misery.
He held out his hand and gave her a smile.
"Join me in a dance, cherie.
I can spin you away from your wretched life
In one vital instant."
The girl only seemed leery for an instant
Before she grasped the pallid hand before her.
God had sent her an angel.
Her prayers were finally being answered.
She was going to be happy once more.
He swung her around in the night's eyes,
Spinning her through shadow and moonlight.
Faster and faster
Before he released her into the midnight air.
A scream of surprise left her
But within seconds he had caught her.
He held her tight against his frame.
"It is time for this dance to end, my dear."
Suddenly, a splash of crimson floods the night
And a gaping hole appears in her delicate frame.
Her heart continues to pump the blood out of the wound
Filling him with an overwhelming joy.
The lifeless body falls to the ground
And he grins up at the moon above,
The fresh blood masking his chin
As he taunts his mistress.
"Here is my dance for you,
Crimson and glistening.
Gaze upon her and tell me
How do you like my song?"
