My mind is full of verse, loose words ramble through my mind,
when I try to pen them to paper, not one word can I find.
Frustrated and ill tempered, when for months I cannot write,
no one but another poet could understand my crazy plight.
In the quietness I get lost in thought, words pop in my head,
but by the time I reach for my pc, I sit there like I'm dead.
I know my muse is a woman, as fickle as she can be,
for months now she's been gone, she just loves to frustrate me.
Right now I'm going blank so excuse the ramble please,
but these few words I've penned are such a sweet release.
My mind is onto something else, so much there is to do,
I hope this contest helps to bring your muse back home to you.
Thank you for allowing me to unleash my scrambled mind,
I may have lost my rhythm, but my couplets all have rhymed!

Clever, self depreciating humor with a wonderful sense of a wink and a nod. We have all been there too many times, more than we could ever tell. If those who are first bitten by the wordsmith bug knew how many times they would wonder if they could ever improve on a blank page, perhaps they would seek a cure before they become enslaved.
Love,
Tom B.
