All or Nothing

When you sit alone in your room,
Remember that you have responsibilities.
You have friends and family whom,
Are everything to you can't you see.

Life is slipping out of your hands,
No one can see it, the pain you're in.
He's all you want and life is all you need,
Give it your all only to succeed.

Everyone walks past your burning heart,

Not one of them with a care at all.

Your son with every emotion in all,

When you get up in the morning he doesn't want to part.

Life is short and we don't have much time,

We need the keep certain people in mind.

What is left in the world for thee,

You have to take it all, or nothing.

This is the best part of the poem. I would revise the begining of the poem. It is alittle choppy if you know what I mean. Very good word use in the whole poem. I would just try to make the begining drag the reader in.

  • Welcome to AllPoetry

An inspirational poem that is thought provoking in all the right ways; it can be hard to remember the good things sometimes in life - just a hint you don't need to start every line with a capital letter as it gives the illusion of a new thought instead of a continuing one
