In your eyes I see your pain
though your tears are dry;
In your tone I hear the strain
this truth, you can not deny.
The words you speak,
speak of strength;
but your voice sounds so weak
as if it has traveled quite the length.
All you say is "I am fine"
which makes my heart ache;
for "fine" is never a good sign
and causes my heart break.
Your smile is bright
but not so cheery;
as lonely as the moonlight
and leaves a small inquiry.
Now, all I can ask
is to please speak to me?
let fall your brave mask
and cuddle to me snugly.
I will listen to every word
hold you with all my might;
your trust in me will be honored
and I promise it will all be alright.
Just trust in me
as will I to you;
you will not be sorry

These stanza's remind me of how I feel about the man I love. Thank you for sharing this was a very tender poem and I really enjoyed it. -
Perfection
I have heard that all to much in my life.. "I am fine"
I loved this poem! Very powerful and heart warming! I just sent it to a friend of mine and it brought her to tears! She was going through very hard times and she always told me that she was fine, and every time that she talked to me I helped her through them! This Poem hit so close to home and it was a big tearjerker! Thank for posting this and sharing it with everyone on here! I am so grateful that you did. Thanks once again!
