The hangman's waiting so we can't be late
Shadows are dancing around the gallows tonight
And they all seem so out of place
Standing room only, to make your way in
Standing room only, so make yourself thin
Standing room only, the way it's always been
Put on your sack cloth robes and try not to stray
Stay close to the curb just in case
So hard to be perfect when the rest are all flawed
So hard to remain calm when chaos abounds
Heaven is filled up, there's no way to get in
Heaven is filled up, they've forgotten your name
Heaven is filled up, it's the same old same old again
Don't speak out they may hear you
So speak up and make yourself heard
Standing room only, to make your way in
Standing room only, so make yourself thin
Standing room only, the way it's always been
Standing room only, heaven's full of sin
Standing room only, to hang yourself in
Author notes
Über - Origins
The crossover of the term "über" from German into English goes back to the work of German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. In 1883, Nietzsche coined the term "übermensch" to describe the higher state to which he felt man might aspire. The term was brought into English by George Bernard Shaw in the title to his 1903 play Man and Superman. During his rise to power, Adolf Hitler used Nietzsche's term in his descriptions of an Aryan master race. It is through this association with Superman the hero that the term "über" carries much of its English sense implying irresistibility or invincibility.

as a judge, i have to be openly critical; firstly, it seems to be both "full" and "empty". the messages i do get from the lines you have a very enticing, but they leave something to be desired... the thoughts feel very short-stopped. the repeating lines, such as 5-7, 12-14, and 17-end, all seem rather empty. i dont feel so much happening here... it's rather like a prayer, rituaistic and meditative, being inserted into something firey and active... it doesn't really make much sense... it breaks the feel...
overall it's pretty good. i see the essence of two halves of two very different works here... something that with some effort could produce very nice results...
see you in a few days for final judging
