On Screen

I....
Want to be...
An on screen whore...

In a theater, on the internet,
Including on TV,
For plays, commercials or episodes,
And even for movies…

Blu Ray or DVD.

Oh yeah…
I want to vacate my body,
To the highest bidder,
For nothing less than 15 minutes of fame.

I want the whole wide world…
To R.S.V.P.,
For an orgy of stories,
All starring me.

I want people,
To know me by name.
Know me as…
# 1 in fame,

I want to be on everyone’s lips…
In everyone’s mouth,
From East to West,
North to South.

And when they speak of me,
I want to be the only thing they see,
With envy.

I want to be,
So many…
People, places, things and personalities.
The height will be dizzying,

And when its all,
Been seemingly said and done…

Oh no, I won't quit.

Just when hating,
And lying…
And jealous…backstabbing, people,
Try to count me,
As worthless,
And a tired…used up, has been…

I'll simply reinvent myself,
With a tuck here,
A stretch there,
Something traded out,
A nip somewhere,
And a brand new tightened derriere.

And with my arsenal of flesh
I’ll remind them...

That I'll always be!

There’s no getting rid of this!

I’ll always be #1!

The SHIT!

I...
want to be...
An on screen whore!

I loved the whole thing and its poetic fashion. You keep one train of thought through out and you move the poem in time-meaning "You become old" and still have the desire to be famous. I wanted to be an actor, studied for years but eventually went homeless. Hardest part of acting? Pay the bills!

  • This is really good. Great write. Keep up the good writing.

  • This was really good. I liked it a lot. It puts something on the readers mind. I don't know somehow I kept getting a picture of Joan Rivers i my head.I bet he's been nipped, tucked, stretched and anything else that could be done to make her the plastic queen she is.
