I've felt the talons of betrayal
rip down my back.
I've felt the sting of heartbreak
tear through my chest.
I've felt the fangs of anger
dig into my soul.
But I'll lick my wounds and carry on,
always have and always will.
I've seen the stare of a lie
look right into my face.
I've seen the act of avoidance
displayed in plain sight.
I've seen the eyes of guilt
close and turn away.
But I'll cover my wounds and carry on,
always have and always will.
I need the rush of strength
to help lift my head.
I need the mercy of forgiveness
to help mend my heart.
I need the power of love
to help fade the past.
I will heal my wounds and carry on,
I always have and I always will.

Powerful emotions, can feel every heart, see the heart tear, be ripped out, and I think most of us can say the pivital line about covering your wounds, carry on and always have and always wll, strong feeling for sure. Excellent. Blessings.
