Nature in Me

imposing mountains that carress the stars
shrouded in mystery and legend
tall castles braced against attack
fortified by knights in shimmering armor
deep forests consumed in darkness
filled with animals that make man's terror rise
a glorious night's sky guiding me home
blessed with the moon's steady splendor
a river of blood filling my path
a island of heartache choking off my breath
a sea of tears blinding my eyes
a sky of storms throwing my mind in turmoil
stardust scattered like leaves
caught in my tangled hair
soft wind flowing like a stream
pushing me hither and there
soothing petals from flowers just crushed
softly enveloping my skin
blazing fire like hell's steamy kiss
running swiftly through my veins
