The drums roll,
The trumpets sound.
A banner of
Red, white, and blue,
Is draped down from a box.
The little stars,
And the long stripes,
Seem to mourn with us.
The trumpet players stop,
Thier heads held high,
Their tears fall down.
So proud,
And strong.
We then say goodbye,
To a good man,
And a fallen hero.

holy stars and stripes. This was amazing. I love how everything happens so quick, yet you have used detail. This is very impressive- and believe me, it is hard to impress me. It almost felt as if I were actually there, and it reminded me of a ceremony I did in ROTC in high school. Very good write. Good luck.
