My preference would always be
to glide through life with certainty,
the chance of that will never be
an option I could currently
impose upon as you can see
my road is full of quandary.
Not knowing if I’ll ever be
around enough to disagree.
My world is full of stale debris
no matter how I beg and plead,
despite my need to be set free
in life there are no guarantees.

You are so right, there are no guarantees to us, we have to make our place. Nice rhyme scheme, good poem.

One day I lost evey thing in a house fire and almost lost my kids.. then from that day on I know how you can lose everything in just of a blink of an eye.
but what was weird I got every thing back 7times fold.. because I never gave up.. I went back to my land and built my family a shack.. we lived in it until I was able to aford a trailor house.. I had penty of jobs to work.. and lived by the bible every day.. // the Bible I had on my coffy table did not burn.. but all the furniture burned around it.. I still have have that bible today hanging on the wall in serane wrap to remind me everyday.. that you can not destroy gods faith... /// Jackreed3... Your friend in Poetry... -
