while my mother rants and raves, i am alone in distant space
love is this trickely feeling down my spine
and i am the thought least thought devine
*the only perfect thing is a kiss that is missed
the phantom scars on me are 12-months-old and on my wrist
the only one in the mirror is me, un-impressed
not at all hiding the signs that she is depressed
i am a dancer, if you miss a leap. who says you can not try again?
*seconds chances are another chance to win.
mostly, i think upon what i should be thinking upon.
like if second thinking, is rethinking. or just add-on.
but i only think to drift.
not to regret what is least important, for time is a gift
*and happiness is the silver lining, tied around it.
and when the sky is cold and grey, i like to pretend it is a sunny day.
and like the clouds strolling by, i wait for no one. no time, no way.
neither do i attempt to catch up, i have more important past times.
like signing, and dancing, and living. and making rhymes.
*(lots know that i have no [Y] in my name,
many dont know i wish it that way.)
i am bi-polar, an increddible lover
hoping to be a future mother,
my head is full of fluff but also full of knowlegeable stuff
*i believe my self to be tough, and well able to hide my bluff
once smooth with my graceful self
now awkward and crumbled, placed on the lower shelf
when the sky is cold and grey, i like to pretend it is a sunny day
i wish i had the strenth to go out and play
*feel the sun drench my face in that way once more
like it did once-upon...but i stay by the door
for when the sky is cold and grey,
it truly is a somber day
and dear, do you know? where we all go?
*how do we go? does anyone know?
i like to believe when i have my final gaze
i shall fall asleep. and dream and dream of sunny days.
a ballerina on a broken music box, the song keeps playing,
sad and slow, ballerina jerks at each note, swaying
*and stops.
