I'll never be the same,
as I was before that August day,
and I know you're not to blame,
for how you went away,
but looking at your picture,
still stabs my heart like little thorns,
in my life, gone is all pleasure,
and sadly replaced with scorn
I cried a thousand tears,
and still do to this day,
have a million fears,
of what happened on the way,
I never found out,
if you were alive or dead,
and I could never doubt,
the words to you, I said
I told you that I loved you,
forever and some more,
that anything, I would do,
for the one whom I adore,
and now that you have left me,
through force, or of choice,
only I can pray to see,
your gentle face or hear your soothing voice

These two stanza's say a great deal. There is a great deal of emotion in the whole poem but in these two there is even more. I know how it feels. And I feel for you Thank you for sharing. -
Amazing
This poem remind me of my own, the Death of Love. Only, instead of August, mine takes place in December. But I truly feel the pain you feel in this poem. And the ending, it ends so abruptly, and it leaves you wanting more, which I think is symbolic of you craving more of the person you write about. Love this poem.
