Love stolen by darkness,
aimlessly I wander,
clinging to vivid memories.
Life continues on,
as death consumes my
colorless existence.

Hard enough to lose someone in death.
Harder still to live with that loss. You have
used 20 words brilliantly to describe how
much death affects the one's left behind.
Hang in there sweet lady

Love is the hardest emotion we have...for it gives so much, yet can also take so much. You power in brevity is getting stronger. This write is relatable to us all at one time or another.
Love,
sis

I liked the diction in this, it is a deep piece. Love can be beautiful and bring color. Or, it can destroy you. Thanks for staying within the word limit and also for entering.

I really like this. May I make one tiny suggestion... in your second stanza you say: "Life continues on, as death consumes me, colorless existence." I truly think that it would flow and read a little bit better if you changed it from ME to MY. Just think about it. Otherwise, this poem is wonderful. You stayed within your 20 word limit and I appreciate that tones. Thanks for entering the contest and best of luck to you. kahy
